What initially drew you to TEDx?
As a previous TEDx speaker, I was drawn to TEDx for its ability to showcase world-changing ideas and provide a global platform for local voices. As an organizer, I'm excited to spark community connections, showcase inspiring ideas, and change perspectives at both local and global levels.
What transformative idea do you hope to share or inspire?
The transformative idea I wish to share is Exponential Thinking - the theme of TEDxParadeplatz. This approach aims to shift problem-solving and innovation from linear to transformative thinking, unlocking solutions to global challenges at an unprecedented scale and speed. Key aspects include recognizing exponential growth in technology, shifting from scarcity to abundance mindset, embracing disruptive innovation, and developing skills for a rapidly evolving world.
How has TEDx changed your perspective on innovation?
Organizing TEDxParadeplatz has shifted my view on innovation. I now see that innovation is about nurturing exponential thinking and collaborative problem-solving. I've learned that diversity drives innovation through cross-pollination of ideas, and that true value lies in creating meaningful impact and addressing real-world problems.
Why did you choose to be part of the organizing team?
I chose to be part of the organizing team because I believe in transformation through ideas and in creating platforms for them to be shared. As the Lead organizer, I have direct accountability in shaping the event's direction and creating a real impact for our audience.
What does "ideas worth spreading" mean to you personally?
To me, "ideas worth spreading" are about the transformational power of ideas that can change our world. They challenge current paradigms, inspire us to think differently, and drive action. These ideas should have practical applications to improve lives, foster understanding, or drive progress in science, technology, art, or society.
How do you see TEDxParadeplatz contributing to broader societal conversations?
TEDxParadeplatz contributes by challenging attendees to think beyond traditional boundaries and consider how rapid advancements can be harnessed for positive societal impact. It encourages discussions on how innovations in AI, biotechnology, and renewable energy can reshape industries and enhance lives.
How does exponential thinking align with your personal or professional journey?
Exponential thinking has transformed my life and career. It has challenged me to go for significant shifts that can make a real impact, rather than just incremental improvements. It's encouraged me to have a deeper sense of accountability for working towards big, worldwide concerns.
What breakthrough idea excites you most about our theme?
The idea that excites me most is the potential for reimagining entire industries, creating new business models, and driving societal progress at an unprecedented pace. It's about exploiting new technologies to their fullest potential to create exponential value.
Can you share an example of exponential thinking you've witnessed?
The rapid development of COVID-19 mRNA vaccines exemplifies exponential thinking. What typically takes a decade was achieved in less than a year, transforming vaccine development and opening possibilities for tackling other diseases and personalizing medicine.
What makes our TEDx community special?
Our TEDx community is special because it nurtures innovation and sparks change at a local level while connecting to global issues. The event brings together diverse voices, creating a space for unexpected connections and groundbreaking ideas. It's run by passionate volunteers with no hidden agendas.

Our event serves as a launchpad for collaborations across disciplines, potentially leading to innovative startups, groundbreaking research, or community projects applying exponential thinking to local and global issues. We aim to keep the conversation going beyond the event through interest groups or working sessions.
