John Laban is a long time Toastmaster leader for almost 2 decades both in the US and in Germany. His passion for public speaking has evolved from delivering speeches and competing in contests to mentoring others to achieve their personal goals. John currently serves as the club president for his local Karlsruhe Toastmaster club and has successfully served in almost every club officer role over his time with Toastmasters. His high energy and charisma have helped many of his club members to achieve results well beyond their imagination. He was also the moderator and host for the Karlsruhe TEDx events for 2023 and 2024. In his professional life, John is an employee of the Siemens Energy Global Operational Excellence within the Gas Services Controls and Digitalization team in Karlsruhe Germany. Through his employee coaching and governance responsibilities, he excels at business transformation initiatives. He is sought out by senior management because of his experience delivering business results for the Siemens Energy organization and is enthusiastic about being part of the global energy transition.
