Pavlo Stroblja's life journey embodies The Diversity Upgrade. Born and raised in Ukraine, Pavlo spent his youth hiding core parts of his identity in a society that offered no LGBTQ+ role models. In 2004, he moved to Germany – a change that allowed him to finally come out as gay and embrace his authentic self. This personal transformation sparked his passion for diversity and inclusion. Pavlo transitioned from a successful corporate career in luxury retail into a role as a social entrepreneur and mentor, determined to help others live openly and confidently. He founded Queermentor gGmbH, the first digital mentoring platform for LGBTQIA+ youth and allies, which has connected hundreds of young people with mentors to boost their careers and self-confidence. As a result of his innovative impact, Pavlo has become an award-winning diversity advocate – his work with Queermentor earned the Impact of Diversity Award 2022 and a StartSocial Award presented by the German Chancellor. He is also the author of “Diversity Upgrade,” a book that guides readers on unlearning biases and building inclusive skills.
